Yes Lord

As many of you are aware we have moved A LOT. This means that developing community quickly is something we have learned is vital for helping us all feel like we are home. So per our norm we began asking the Lord who we were to invite over for coffee or dinner. Quickly our calendar began to fill up and sweet relationships blossomed for all 6 of us. Our children no longer felt like outsiders and memories began to be developed in our home.

We also soon had multiple invites from our church family and community members.

At one specific home the family strategically invited another family whose daughter had been at YWAM Perth. As we chatted away we quickly realized we were in Perth, Australia at the same time. Her focus however had been on the Aboriginals and she was in the Kimberly’s a lot so we didn’t know each other.

As she shared about what she did in Australia she began to describe these videos she had on her computer and would use to minister to the Aboriginal youth. My heart leapt. I asked her what the name of the video series was and I quickly realized it was one of the films Bruce had worked on almost 7 years ago.

So inspiring!! Lives being transformed because of a simple “Yes Lord”. For those of you that follow our blog you’ll remember this is the time Bruce and I felt that he was to do a film school but we had no money but believed that we were to walk in faith anyways. It is such a powerful story of God’s faithfulness when we take the big risks with our finances (click here to read the blog post). And now many years later and we get to hear about some of the fruit taking place because of our simple “Yes Lord” and the “Yes” many other YWAMers had to create this film.

Is there a “Yes Lord” that God is asking from you? Is He beckoning you to step out of the boat and follow Him afresh? Your yes will allow you to partner with Him in unimaginable ways. If you say no you will miss out on adventures galore. And you will miss out on being His hands and feet. Today, jump out of the boat and see Him help You walk on water.

Prayer Requests:

  • Tumor in Esperanza’s head disappears.

  • Bruce’s cartilage grows back in his foot & bone spurs disappear.

  • We’ve had doctor bills, a broken down van needing to be fixed, and a few other unforeseen costs come up. (You can partner by clicking here).

  • Bruce only needs about $900 for flights to Peru. (Click Here to Partner).
